8-Day Calving Season Safari

Every year, between late January and March, the short-grass plains south of the Serengeti erupt with new life. Hundreds of thousands of wildebeest cows, along with zebra and gazelle, gather on the mineral-rich pastures around Ndutu and the Nasera Rockfields to give birth within a matter of weeks — one of the most concentrated wildlife events on the planet.
